TIPS FOR BOARD EXAMINATION

1.Practise CBSE sample paper.

2. Practise all the case studies given in the class.

3.During the exam utilise the reading time efficiently. Highlight the key words which help in identifying the concept involved.

4.Attempt the six marks questions and five marks questions first within one and half hour.

5.Three and four marks questions are hots and value based the answer will be in the question itself so read the question carefully.

6.One mark questions should be answered in one word or in one sentence.

7.Write the correct question no, do all the parts of the question together and leave gap after each  question.

Case studies

Read the case studies and identify the concept involved in each case.
     1. A company is manufacturing washing machines. There is well defined system of jobs with a clear and definite authority,responsibility and accountability in the company. People are not allowed to interact beyond their officially defined roles. As a result the company is not able to adapt to the changing business environment. The workforce is also not motivated due to lack of social interaction.The company is facing problems of procedural delays and inadequate recognition to creative talents.
          a)Suggest how the organisation can overcome the problems faced by it.
          b) Give two benefits it will derive from your suggestion.
   2.Rahmi's father has gifted her shares of a large cement company, with which he had been working. The securities were in physical form. She already has a bank account and does not possess any other form of securities.
                    She wished to sell the shares and approached a registered broker for the purpose. Enticing one nanadatory detail which she will have to provide with the banker.RaviR
    3.Freebasics an Internet facilities provided by Facebook is going to effect all other business houses in the corporate world in India if the government gives its approval. Identify the various elements of business environment effected by it and how?
     4.Ravi , a worker  is given a target of assembling two computers  per day. Due to his habit of doing things differently an idea struck him which would not only reduce the assembling time of computers but would also reduce the cost of production of the computers. Ravi's supervisor , instead of appreciating him , ordered him to complete the work as per the methods and tecniques decided  earlier as nothing could be changed at tat stage.
           The above case highlights one of the limitations of planning function of management. Name and explain the limitation.
